Philosophical Battery
Listening to Thomas Hirschhorn talk about art, it’s hard to resist the sensation that all the other artists have got it wrong. Not that he’s critical of their work — in fact, I’ve never heard him mention another living artist by name. It’s more a matter of getting caught up in his enthusiasm. Thomas Hirschhorn is a fanatic. His ardor for the thinkers after whom he names many of his works — Ingeborg Bachmann Kiosk, Deleuze Monument, Bataille Monument, and most recently, 24h Foucault — is evident not only in these works’ devotion to their subjects’ writings, but also in the sheer volume of material deployed toward this end.

En «huelga inmediata/huelga permanente» quize experimentar con las posibilidades que el texto me brindaba para comunicar reivindicaciones poetico-crípiticas. En su conjunto, las frases comparten como soporte materiales que recuerdan o emulan a la estètica de protesta; un desapego por la literalidad que contienen la mayorìa de las consignas en manifestaciones dirige cada una de los enunciados.
Una «huelga permanente»-entendiendola como la interrupción general y organizada de las labores productivas con miras a un cambio radical de sistema econòmico, político y social- abarcarìa todas las acciones que significan una existencia con la intención de desentrañar la alienación interiorizada.
Una huelga permanente, entonces sería imposible sin una huelga inmediata, es decir, un paro en la (re)producción de todas aquellas prácticas que desde la presencialidad repiten los patrones de explotación, autoritarismo y proselitismo a favor del a propiedad privada que el sistema capitalista (y todo el entramado que lo sostiene) promueve. La inmediatez constante de cualquier huelga garantizarìa su permanencia, o por decirlo en otro modo, la mantendrìa presente.
Quize tambièn incluir las fotos de nebulosas para expandir las reivindicaciones a una universalidad de las cuales son parte. Dichas fotos son acontecimientos porque significan-desde la imagen-una especie de parteaguas entre un antes y un despùes. La revolución puesta en marcha a través de la huelga, tendrá entonces la posibilidad de ser entendida como una lucha cósmica, porque comparten la intención de lograr el reordenamiento(una nueva organización) radical del todo.
porfavor comenta la instalación quisiera saber tu que ves o que no ves en esta posibilidad de unir lo cósmico con lo polìtico.

¿que piensas?
este video me interesa por varias razones. primero, pienso que es importante notar que según la nota periodística la mayoría de los manifestantes son de clase media.
Segundo, que es algo que creo que es necesario empezar a entender y es que estamos trabajando a partir de subjetividades. el registro mal tomado que proviene de un «amateur» es un buen ejemplo de la existencia de una subjetividad y su manera de aprehender el mundo.
por otra parte, me interesan mucho estos videos que registran demos, acciones directas, «vandalismo», etc porque al fin y al cabo son el imaginario que refuerza la idea de contraimperio.
